Russia Stays in Summer
We all get that confusion when the clocks go back in the winter, but in the biggest country in the world it can be a stressful and confusing experience. President Dmitry Medvedev has found the solution. He announced that Russia would be staying in Summer Time, in other words the clocks won't be going back in Russia.
While neighboring countries in Scandinavia and the Baltic states will be going back in time for the winter Russia is going to be alone in this change.
Many governments in recent years, including the UK have contemplated such as move but have never actually put such as plan into action. Many countries will be watching to see how this pan out. If this does prove a success many country in the future may follow suit.
In the mean time just take note of the additional time difference while travelling in Europe. As in Russia it may well mean missing a flight or train.
