Clubbing in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is one of the most famous clubbing cities in the world. It can cater for many tastes in music as well as the mainstream electronic clubbing scene that is often popularly associated with Amsterdam.

Whether you are into metal, or prefer a more electronic style of music from the deck or a zoom r16 there is certainly something here for you. There are many clubs that has become an icon.
Since 1986, this club as had a major part to play in Amsterdam's nightlife. It is once of the biggest commercial clubs in Europe. Its popularity is probably due to its association with many acts such as Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren.
This club has had many incarnations as various investors came up with ideas for this popular Amsterdam Club. What was once the high renowned Gay club IT has now become Club Air. It is a big club with a capacity of over 1300 people although it does have a home feel due to the partitioned space.
This is more of a bar with a dance area. But there is sometimes live music for bands. This is a slightly different place from the mainstream, it does attract a more alternative crowd with genres such as rock, punk, hip hop and soul find themselves at home here.
A more exclusive club, if you happen to be in town staying with one of the major hotels you could ask if they'll put you no the guest list. This club has a dance floor and also a Japanese style lounge area.
This is often referred to as the underground club and is very much with the alternative crowd. This attracts somewhat different people to the others on this list. It is very popular with the gothic and hippie community. Although this place is large, its spread over three floors.
