What scientists think about we feel smell yourself?

You may not be able to take your fingerprints of ink lineup, but your brain knows what you smell. For the first time scientists have shown that people recognize their own spirits, based on a combination of the main histocompatibility complex (MHC) proteins, molecules, similar to those used on animals to choose their mates. The discovery suggests that humans can also use molecules to distinguish people.

This appears to be a similar phenomenon to camping/backpacking with a group for an extended period. As you all begin to smell worse and worse, the constant proximity allows everyone to essentially "block out" the collective group smell; this also allows for the development of a tolerance to everyone's individual bodily scents within the group. As soon as one member of the group takes a shower and gets both the collective and individual smells out of their olfactory processors and off their body, they become acutely aware of the collective and individual levels of stinkiness on the remaining members of the group.

This is embarrassing for me to admit. But I suffer EXTREME depression, & I don't even have the energy to get out of bed most days. But EVERY day, I promise myself a shower, but it's even hard for me to get out of bed just to turn on the light, when it's right in the ceiling RIGHT over me. This depression makes me feel immobile & mentally cripple. & people think I'm just nasty, filthy, trifling, & that I use my depression as an excuse for laziness. But these people who say this, really need to trade brain chemicals with me for a day.

Wise Words

"When we finally presented it at the shareholders' meeting, everyone in the auditorium stood up and gave it a five-minute ovation. What was incredible to me was that I could see the Mac team in the first few rows. It was as though none of us could believe that we'd actually finished it. Everyone started crying."

The wrong direction

Going crazy – doing crazy

Staying over with a friend was very nice and also useful. It made my trip cost way less, while I also had some...

My worry about losing the Queen

My worry about losing the Queen would be that she would still be entitled to take money from the Crown Estates. I hope when negotiations are taking place after the referendum, that the SNP would not go soft on this and on a number of other matters, like being over generous with the entitlement...

How to get indoor an orchids to grow and bloom?

The thing which, apart from Climate Gate, really knocked them sideways was that bitterly cold December 2013.

Louise wouldn't remember it because she was with Chris Huhne in Cancun at the time and kept telling us how warm it was poolside — while it was –15ºC here and...
