How to Enable or Disable Hide File Extension in Windows 8

Here is what you need to do to enable or disable Hide File Extensions:
Simply go to My Computer, as you usually do and click on organize on the left of your screen as seen on the Pic below.
Now Click on the Folder and Search options as shown on the pic. It will open a box like this pic below
Now Select VIEW tab from above. Now uncheck the box “Hide extensions for known file types”
By unchecking this all your file extensions will be visible from now. To hide it again simply check that again.
